This class goes above and beyond the requirements for getting your MA Firearms License. The course covers the knowledge, skills, attitude, and mindset necessary for the safe handling and storage of firearms in the home, as well introducing basic range safety and culminates with a brief live fire session.

More Details: This is a six-hour course for safe gun handling that is conducted both in the classroom and on the range. Students are taught the universal gun safety rules, primary causes of firearm accidents, firearm parts, how to unload certain action types, ammunition components cleaning, care, safe storage of firearms in the home, and the benefits of becoming an active participant in the shooting sports. After plenty of learning and hands on practice, each student will have the opportunity to bring there new skills to the range for a live fire experience, where we will review basic range safety and protocols and take your first shots under the watchful eye of a trained instructor. Students will receive a Home Firearm Safety handbook, and course completion certificate. Successful completion will also earn a MA Basic Firearms Safety certificate necessary for acquiring a firearms license in MA.
