The Legal Use of Force

  • Franklin County Sportsmen's Club 721 River Road Deerfield MA (map)

No responsibly armed person wants to find themselves in a situation where they have to use force to protect themselves or their loved ones, but we all recognize that the possibility exists each and every day. We train in situational awareness and conflict avoidance in order to steer clear of trouble if at all possible, but we also recognize that trouble could find us no matter how hard we work to avoid it. We all have a legal right to use force to defend ourselves if the need should arise, but we must be aware that while using force may help us survive an awful situation, it could also result in serious legal and financial consequences if we haven’t followed the rules. This 1 hour discussion based class examines the legal use of force and will give you a much deeper understanding of how a self defense case will be evaluated. This is extremely important information for anyone who has taken responsibility for their own protection and that of their loved ones.
